Designated Instructional Services (DIS) or Related Services are services offered to eligible special education students which may be required in order for the student to access an appropriate education.  Services are implemented through the child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) and may be employed in a variety of settings such as the classroom, a therapy room or the home.  They are provided by teachers and specially trained staff as a collaborative (group) or direct (individual) service.  Parents/guardian training may also be appropriate if needed such that Parents may assist the child in receiving consistency within the school and home environments.
