
Heidi's interest in assisting others with their education and special needs developed from the time she was in her adolescent years while assisting one of her own siblings. She went on to work for a company called Behavior Resources assisting adults with special needs. There, she would assist her clients to become independent by integrating them into transporting them on a daily basis while helping them learn daily living skills and assisting them in completing their daily living tasks. Also, Heidi provided independent in home assistance for families with special needs children. In 2002, Heidi decided to become a legal assistant in a special education law form. Now a mother of her own children she advocates for her own son to receive necessary speech and language services from her local school district.
